On the south coast of the Firth of Forth, Gullane is an especially attractive conservation village some twenty miles from Edinburgh. From Gullane Hill there are magnificent views towards the Lammermuir Hills, the coast of Fife, towards Edinburgh and Gullane Bents which is one of the best beaches in the area. The Main Street has a selection of independent shops including a pharmacy, art gallery, two small supermarkets and award- winning restaurants and cafes. Gullane is primarily known for its golf. The three courses of Gullane and the Open Championship Course of Muirfield offer excellent opportunities for golf and are all within 10 minutes’ walk from the property.
