Paris Steele raises £7,165 for charity through Will Aid campaign
08 May 2026
Two thirds of adults in the UK do
not have a valid Will. Perhaps you have not yet got around to writing one, or
you wrote one some time ago and your circumstances have since changed. Perhaps
you think it is too difficult, or too expensive. Whatever the reason, Paris
Steele supports Will Aid’s annual campaign, which raises awareness of the
importance of having a Will while helping to make professionally written Wills
more accessible.
At Paris Steele, our Wills
lawyers are not only highly knowledgeable in this area of law but also take the
time to understand your individual needs, and ensure your wishes are properly
recorded. Making a Will can also make the administration of your estate quicker
and easier for your family, while helping to keep costs down.
Each November, solicitors across
Scotland and the UK dedicate their time and expertise to preparing simple Wills
for clients who might not otherwise be able to afford them. In return, clients
are invited to make a donation to one of Will Aid’s eight partner charities.
Suggested donations are £120 for a single Will or £200 for a pair of mirror
Wills, offering excellent value while supporting a range of worthwhile causes.
Paris Steele has supported Will
Aid since 2006 and has raised over £25,000 for charitable causes ranging from
providing humanitarian aid to protecting vulnerable children in the UK. In
2025, we were especially pleased to help almost 100 new clients prepare their
Wills and, in the process, raise more than £7,000 for charities.
The 2026 campaign will soon
begin. Whether you need a new Will or want to update an existing one because
your circumstances have changed, having a valid Will can help ensure your
wishes are clearly understood and reduce unnecessary uncertainty for your loved
ones in the future.
You can register online in
advance at willaid.org.uk. This year’s
partner charities include: Crisis, NSPCC, Shelter, SCIAF, Trócaire, Age UK,
British Red Cross and Christian Aid.
