Paris Steele supports new oak woodland
07 May 2025
There’s a valley in East Lothian that cuts through two areas
of ancient woodland. In 2017, Paris
Steele joined other supporters to help Forest Carbon create a new
            woodland to connect them.
Arnott’s Loan is an oakwood in Dunbar that connects an area
of ancient semi-natural woodland and a site of special scientific interest.
With over 25,000 oaks planted, together with rowan, birch, hawthorn and hazel,
it has been designed to improve habitat connectivity and diversity of wildlife.
Forest Carbon works with businesses and land holders,
helping to fund the planting of trees and restore peatlands. Not only do these
projects remove millions of tonnes of CO2e from the atmosphere, they also
enhance biodiversity and improve water quality.
Which is why we, at Paris Steele, are delighted to know that
Arnott’s Loan is thriving for future generations. Find out how Paris Steele
