Job Title: Property Sales Negotiator
Location: North Berwick and Dunbar, East Lothian (hybrid-working by agreement)
Hours of Work: Permanent / Full-Time
Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
A modern and reputable solicitor’s firm in North Berwick is seeking a Property Sales Negotiator to join their team.
We are a successful solicitor’s firm dealing with a range of matters including residential property sales/purchases, estate agency, private client matters, commercial property and matrimonial issues.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting the property manager in all aspects of property sales;
- Answering telephone calls and maintaining diaries;
- Preparing sales brochures and promotional information;
- Looking at and collecting information about a property, and arranging for photographs to be taken;
- Visiting and talking to the sellers about their property and its special features;
- Estimating the value of the property;
- Marketing and promoting properties for sale;
- Compiling home reports, contacting qualified surveyors etc to complete relevant sections;
- Representing the sellers in negotiation with prospective buyers;
- Monitoring sales as they proceed and liaising with all interested parties including mortgage brokers, solicitors, surveyors and other estate agents;
- Advising clients and helping buyers to decide what they want to buy;
- Making sure that a price is agreed that is acceptable to both buyer and seller;
- Keeping up to date with trends in the local residential property market, as well as the commercial market.
- Working beyond office hours to undertake property valuations and viewings
- Ensure properties meet legal and health and safety requirements, i.e. gas safety certificates;
- Act as a property manager and resolve any issues that arise with properties.
Skills and Requirements:
- At least 1 years + sales or marketing experience
- Recent experience within a client facing role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Able to multi-task.
- Works well under pressure.
- Must be a team player.
- Adaptable to change and new initiatives.
- Previous experience in working with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Be process and deadline driven.
- Ability to think outside the box and solve problems.
- Ability to use your own initiative, prioritise incoming work/deadlines whilst working under pressure.
- Excellent client/customer service with the ability to converse with people at all levels with the business.
